Tim Butala and Tim Higgins first met as incoming high school basketball recruits to MIT. They became teammates, fraternity brothers, and lifelong friends. After gaining valuable experience in both startup and corporate environments, they decided to reunite to tackle one of business's most persistent challenges.

The inspiration for Windbreaker.ai came from a real-world problem at O'Keefe Controls, a family-run manufacturing company. Tim B. witnessed firsthand how valuable time was lost to manual coordination between systems that should work seamlessly together. Customer emails sat unprocessed, orders required multiple manual handoffs, and critical information fell through the cracks.

In 2025, we founded Windbreaker.ai with a mission to eliminate these operational inefficiencies.
